Make morning porridge in the run up to Christmas look like Rudolph – with this easy idea recipe idea. Just add croissant antlers and fruit for the face, and your child has their your very own reindeer joining them for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 250ml milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 blueberries
  • 1 pomegranate seeds
  • 3 mini croissants

Method

  • STEP 1

    Put the oats and milk in a saucepan and heat, stirring, until bubbling. Simmer for 2 minutes

  • STEP 2

    Mash half of the banana. Add to the porridge and stir. Spoon into a bowl. Slice 2 rounds from the banana and place on top of the porridge to make the eyes. Put 2 blueberries on top of each banana round to make the eyeballs

  • STEP 3

    Slice 1 mini croissant horizontally in half. Cut the top half into an oval shape and place it under the eyes. Put a pomegranate seed on the oval croissant shape to finish the nose

  • STEP 4

    Take the remaining croissants and arrange them either side of the top of the porridge face to make the antlers
